Travel is always better when you sleep well, which is why we've made sleep comfort a priority. Most cabins are equipped with the top-rated Tuft and Needle mattress, while in the Lake Cabin #3, the latex Brooklyn Bedding mattress offers slightly firmer support. If your back demands inner-springs, the Wilderness Cabin #6 is equipped with a Serta iComfort Hybrid. Our sofa sleepers also have upgraded memory foam mattresses, so everyone can get a good night's sleep.
Nestled in your crisp percale sheets, fluffy feather pillows, with a fresh cotton duvet cover over your lightweight down comforter, you may have trouble getting out of bed. Luckily, there is complimentary coffee in the kitchen. While early-risers may be rewarded with a wildlife sighting, those hoping for some some extra sleep will appreciate blackout shades on every bedroom and sunrise-facing window.
Some places try to pinch pennies with amenities, but we only provide toiletries we would want to use on a daily basis. We provide everything you would expect at a hotel, and try to think of anything else you might need. First aid kit- check. Hair dryer- of course! Forget your toothbrush? Look under the sink...we've got you covered.
There is no lodging inside Rocky Mountain National Park, but that doesn't mean you have to "rough-it" at the campgrounds to enjoy nature and wildlife fun. Lupine Village at Grand Lake is only 5 minutes away from Rocky, but feels like a home away from home.
Each cabin is small but well equipped- with comfy sofas for lounging, fast WiFi if you need it, charging stations, 40" HDTV's with cable, HBO, smart Blu-Ray players and over 500 movies available for check out in our guest canteen.
After a long day on the lake or trails, enjoy a hot shower, grab a book and settle into the sofa with a warm quilted throw. This is why roughing it is overrated.
No matter where you're coming from, it's a bit of a drive to Grand Lake. So once you arrive, check the fridge- you'll always find a couple of cold, Colorado-brewed welcome beers. Colorado is home to over 400 breweries and hosts the Great American Beer Festival every October- so we're pretty serious about our beer. While the Coors brewery in Golden is the most famous, you'll pass several great breweries on the way to Lupine Village including Tommyknocker in Idaho Springs or the Fraser River Beer CO. There's also a tap room at World's End Brew Pub here in Grand Lake- but we'll get you started.
Not a beer person? No worries...just let us know in your booking comments and we'll be glad to leave you a couple of extra complimentary bottled waters instead.
Go out to eat, or prepare a meal? When you stay at Lupine Village, it's up to you. Check out our Guidebook for our restaurant recommendations in and around Grand Lake.
If you decide to cook, your cabin is fully equipped with a new glass cooktop stove, quality cookware, utensils, dishes, some basic spices & oil. Feel like grilling? Mountain Market has great steaks, and there are propane grills ready to use outside your cabin.
You're welcome to use anything in your cabin or in the courtyard- we just ask that you clean up and wash your dishes once finished. We provide Lysol wipes, dish soap, scrubber & a drying rack.
Our Guest Canteen is where you'll find info and extras to borrow or buy during your stay at Lupine Village. The canteen is self-serve, so just sign out the items you want to borrow, and use the tablet for purchases.
